Also, sources tell is that the Warner Archive Collection is going to have a good 4K catalog announcement to share on the Warner Classics Facebook page today. So check this link this afternoon for the details. As always, I expect them to nail it—they’ve been crushing it lately with their title announcements.

Speaking of the Warner Archive, they’ve also just announced that a 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray release of John Huston’s The Man Who Would Be King (1975) is coming soon (street date TBA)! This is a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, and the even better news is that encoding will be by Fidelity in Motion. Note that Sony is releasing a version of this title internationally.

And here’s a nice surprise: Paramount and Alliance are going to release Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones (2009) on 4K UltraHD + Blu-ray on 11/10! It’ll be a 3-disc set that includes the film on both 4K and Blu-ray, as well as a Blu-ray of special features. Look for Dolby Vision HDR and audio in DTS-HD Master Audio format.

They’re also releasing M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender (2010) in 4K Ultra HD on 11/3, as well as Lauren Montgomery’s animated Avatar Ang: The Last Airbender (2026) in 4K and Blu-ray on 2/9/27.

The Cinema Guild has set Shinji Somai’s animated Moving (1993) on 4K UHD + Blu-ray on 10/27.

And Ignite Films will release a standard edition version of Brian Yunza’s Bride of Re-Animator (1990) in 4K UHD on 12/15.
