Lionsgate Reveals New Titles, Plus: Please Support The Bits & Your Favorite Physical Media Websites!
All right, we’re slowly getting back up to speed here at The Bits this week. The site itself seems be working well at the moment, which is good. (Knock wood.) And I’m getting back into the swings of things here as site editor after visiting family.
The whole Bits team’s working on more Blu-ray and 4K reviews, and I myself have spent the last two days working on a few myself. To that end…
I’ve just posted my reviews of John Carney’s Sing Street: 10th Anniversary Edition (2016) in 4K Ultra HD from Lionsgate Limited, as well as Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Project Hail Mary (2026) in 4K Ultra HD from Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Entertainment.
Tim has turned in his thoughts on Robert Z. Leonard’s The Cardboard Lover (1928) on Blu-ray from Undercrank Productions.
Stephen’s taken a look at Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks! (1996) in 4K Ultra HD Steelbook from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
Dennis has shared his take on Phil Karlson’s Framed (1975) on Blu-ray from Imprint Films.
Stuart has delivered reviews of Jean Becker’s A Man Named Rocca (1961) on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber Studio Classics.
And Todd has offered his thoughts on Shūji Terayama’s The Boxer (1977) on Blu-ray from Radiance, as well as Aleshea Harris’s Is God Is (2026) on Blu-ray from Amazon MGM and Alliance.
What’s more, I’ve had the chance to complete a few additional reviews as well, so you can look forward to my thoughts on Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (2004) in 4K Ultra HD from Lionsgate Limited tomorrow, as well as Akira Kurosawa’s Madadayo (1993) on Blu-ray from Imprint Asia (a joint review with Todd) on Thursday.
And more reviews are definitely forthcoming from the whole team.
Now then… I wanted to say a few humble but important words today about the new challenges we’re dealing with here at The Digital Bits—challenges sadly now occupying almost everyone who runs a physical media website these days. [Read on here...]

We’re back! Here’s a recap of all the great disc reviews we’ve posted in the last ten days...
Hi, everyone—Bill here!
So I’m just back from a ten-day trip to the Upper Midwest to visit various members of my family, and I’m finally getting back into the swing of things here in the office after recovering from my travels.
For the record, I spent a week with my mother in North Dakota, during which time we went to Medora to see the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, as well as to tour both the North and South units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The library was extraordinary and a world-class experience, and the park was every bit as amazing as ever—the North Dakota Badlands are one of the most stunning places on the face of the Earth.
On the way back from the Badlands, I was also able to visit my stepbrother and his family, as well as my niece, her husband, and their new baby in Fargo. And then I flew to Chicago, Illinois to spend three more days with my brother. A good time was had by all, I certainly saw some amazing sights, and I even managed to get a little relaxation in there too, though my plane trip home was a classic air travel nightmare (made all the worse by the lackluster customer service team at American Airlines—ugh).
Anyway, I’ll be posting a new video for our subscribers on The Bits’ Patreon page later this afternoon. And I’ll be back here on The Bits website to recap all of the 4K and Blu-ray announcement news that happened in my absence starting on Monday.
In the meantime, we’ve just posted the latest update of our Release Dates & Cover Artwork section (click here) featuring all the latest Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD cover art and Amazon pre-orders links, thanks to our own Russell Hammond.
And our crack Bits disc review team (including Tim, Stephen, Stuart, Todd, and Dennis) posted an impressive slate of new Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD reviews here on the site while I was away, so I just wanted to all everyone’s attention to them. [Read on here...]
