Meanwhile, Lionsgate has just officially announced that they’ll be releasing Mary Harron’s American Psycho on 4K Ultra HD in Steelbook packaging on 10/5, exclusively at Best Buy stores. The title has been available on the format since 2018, but this Steelbook packaging is new. It will include the Unrated Edition with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. We’ve got one more piece of Ultra HD news for you today: I’ve confirmed with Universal that their forthcoming Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection (due on 10/5) will include both the original and Spanish-language versions of Dracula (1931) in actual 4K. So in the event you were wondering about this, there you go.
Also today, Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment has set Crime Story for DVD and Digital release on 10/12. The film stars Richard Dreyfuss and Mira Sorvino.
And in a bit of breaking industry news, ViacomCBS and Sky have announced that they’ll launch the Paramount+ streaming service in Western Europe sometime next year. You can read more here at Media Play News.
