In announcement news today, our friends at Shout! and Scream Factory have revealed their July slate of Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD titles, which is set to include Ringo Lam’s Full Contact (1992) in 4K on 7/14 as part of the HK Cinema Classics line, followed by Albert Pyun’s The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) in 4K Steelbook, Jonathan Kaplan’s Unlawful Entry (1992) in 4K, Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs (1991) in 4K Steelbook, John Carpenter’s Vampires (1998) in 4K Steelbook, and Gary Ross’ Pleasantville (1998) 4K as a Shout Select title on 7/21, and finally David Ayer’s End of Watch (2012) 4K as another Shout Select title on 7/28.
Also, Shout and GKids are releasing Kenichiro Akimoto’s animated All You Need Is Kill (2025) on Blu-ray on 7/7, followed by Dan da Dan: Season Two (2025) on Blu-ray on 7/14, and Takeshi Koike’s Lupin the IIIrd: The Movie – The Immortal Bloodline (2025) on Blu-ray on 7/28. [Read on here...]
Meanwhile, Magnolia Home Entertainment has set Ben Wheatley’s Normal (2025) for Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release on 7/14.
Kino Lorber Studio Classics has set Robert Alan Aurthur’s The Lost Man (1969) and Ronald Neame’s A Man Could Get Killed (1966) for Blu-ray release on 6/16. They’ve also revealed that Edward Dmytryk’s Bluebeard (1972) is coming soon to both 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, while Daniel Petrie’s The Spy with a Cold Nose (1966) is coming soon to Blu-ray only.
Unearthed Classics is releasing Shinya Tsukamoto’s Tetsuo: The Bullet Man (2009) on Blu-ray on 7/14.
BBC Video will release Doctor Who: Peter Davison – Complete Season Three (1984) on Blu-ray on 7/7.
A company called Row K Entertainment has set Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire (2025) for Blu-ray release on 7/6.
And finally this afternoon, Film Masters is releasing Irving Pichel’s original George Pal-produced Destination Moon (1950) newly remastered on Blu-ray on 7/14, in a package that also includes Flight to Mars (1951). Both films are sourced from restored 4K scans.
