A quick note on The Ghost Ship: We’re aware that a moth has accidentally been digitally erased from the film that shouldn’t have been. We’re in touch with Warner Bros. on the matter and when we hear back from them we’ll let you know.
Now then… the big news today is that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially set Gore Verbinski’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) for release on 4K Ultra HD on January 2, 2022. The disc will include HDR10 high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos audio. At least some of the legacy extras should carry over on the regular Blu-ray that’s included in the package. And of course you’ll get a Digital Copy code on a paper insert. You can see the cover artwork above left and also below (the Amazon pre-order link will be added when it becomes available)…
Finally today, just a quick heads-up: I’ve been dealing with an allergic reaction these last few days, so I’m taking a little bit of time off to rest and recuperate. All is well—it’s not serious, just takes time to pass. We’ll still have reviews going up all week, and if anything really important breaks news-wise, I’ll make a quick post here to let you know. So I appreciate your patience in the meantime.
That’s all for now! Stay tuned…
