Extras on the Blu-ray and 4K will include 7 featurettes (Paciencia y Fe: Making In the Heights, Paciencia y Fe: When You’re Home, Paciencia y Fe: Hundreds of Stories, Paciencia y Fe: Alza La Bandera/Raise the Flag, Paciencia y Fe: Wepa!, Paciencia y Fe: That Music in the Air, and Paciencia y Fe: Who Keeps our Legacies) and 2 Sing-a-longs (In the Heights and 96,000).
Warner has also announced that Harry Potter and the Scorcerer’s Stone will be re-released on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 8/17 in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary. The Blu-ray will include a new feature called Magical Movie Mode, which will “allow fans the ability to discover filmmaking secrets, spell incantations, creatures, magical artifacts, trivia, and more in this enchanting collection of fun activities and curiosities.” We don’t know yet know if this disc will include the original Blu-ray presentation or an image sourced from the more recent 4K remaster, but we’ve asked the studio to confirm (and we’ll post an update here on the site when we hear back). [Editor’s Note: Per the studio, the video and audio mastering on the disc is identical to that on the previous Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-ray.]
By the way, while there is no 4K re-issue planned, Zavvi has revealed a new 4K Ultra HD Steelbook release of the film which you can find here (via Zavvi US/Canada) and here (via Zavvi UK/EU).
Meanwhile, Lionsgate has announced Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/31. The discs will include audio commentaries on a number of episodes. You can see the Blu-ray art below.
Here’s a surprise: Imprint Films is releasing Space: 1999: The Complete Series on Blu-ray in Australia on 8/27. This should be an All Region release, but until we get official confirmation of that buyer beware for US fans. You can see the cover art (and pre-order it on Amazon) here…
