All right, we’ve got a trio of disc reviews for you today...

We start with Tim’s look at Dario Argento’s Deep Red (1975) on Blu-ray from Arrow Video, and Federico Fellini’s Orchestra Rehearsal (1978) on Blu-ray from Arrow Academy.

I’ve also checked in with my thoughts on The Greatest Showman in 4K Ultra HD, from director Michael Gracey and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. The musical features an absolutely reference quality A/V presentation, including some of the best looking 4K video yet seen on the format. Do give it a look.

We’ve also updated the Release Dates & Artwork section here at The Bits with all the latest Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD cover artwork and pre-order links. As always, anytime you order products through our links, we surely do appreciate it – it makes a difference for us. So thank you! [Read on here...]

Now then… the big release news today is that Universal Studios Home Entertainment has set Steven S. DeKnight’s Pacific Rim Uprising for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 6/19, with the Digital release expected on 6/5. Extras on the Blu-ray versions will include audio commentary with DeKnight and 10 behind-the-scenes featurettes (Hall of Heroes, Bridge to Uprising, The Underworld of Uprising, Becoming Cadets, Unexpected Villain, Next Level Jaegers, I Am Scrapper, Going Mega, Secrets of Shao, and Mako Returns).

Also, Best Buy is now taking pre-orders for the 4K Ultra HD release of the original Jack Reacher, a title we first noted was coming from Paramount a couple weeks ago. Street date is 6/26.

Finally today, based on retailer information, it appears that 7/24 will be the street date for Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One in Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD. We’ve updated our 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly.

Back tomorrow. Stay tuned…
