Disney has announced a new Lady and the Tramp: Walt Disney Signature Collection Blu-ray for release on 2/27. In addition to previous special features the new edition will include Walt & His Dogs, Stories from Walt’s Office, and How to Make a Meatball and Other Fun Facts About Lady and the Tramp. You can see the cover artwork above left.
Meanwhile, Sony has now set LBJ for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/6.
Well Go USA will release the thriller Reset on Blu-ray on 2/6.
Kino Lorber has revealed that it’s working to bring Barry Sonnenfeld’s Big Trouble (2002) to Blu-ray and DVD (street date TBA). There’s a new 2K restoration of Joan of Arc (1948) coming from Kino to both formats on 2/27. And on 3/13, look for the W.C. Fields silent films It’s the Old Army Game (1926) and Running Wild (1927) on both formats.
And file this in The Rumor Mill, but a number of our retail sources have checked in with word that the tentative street date for Disney’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD is 3/27. That sounds about right, but the date could still shift a little bit until it’s officially announced. We do know that the Blu-rays will include about 20 minutes of deleted scenes and, one would imagine, a trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story as well.
All right, we hope you all have a great weekend. See you back here on Monday as we gear up for CES.
Stay tuned…
