Here’s what the opening packaging looks like (click here or on the image to visit the Amazon.com pre-order page for the title)...
Note that this title is available for purchase via Digital as of today.
In other release news, MVD Entertainment will release Duran Duran: A Hollywood High – Live in Los Angeles on Blu-ray on 8/4.
PBS Home Video will release American Buffalo: A Film by Ken Burns on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/7.
And since a lot of you have asked us about this: We’ve checked in with our friends at Kino Lorber Studio Classics and have confirmed that the street date for their 4K Ultra HD release of William Friedkin’s To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) is officially unchanged. It happened on 7/18, as originally planned. We suspect demand for this title is very high, so everyone involved is struggling to replicate and ship enough copies to meet demand. (Some Bits readers are seeing their Amazon and other online retailer ship dates pushed into early August.) Rest assured, the discs are on the way and should be available to everyone very soon.
Finally today, iam8bit has just announced that they’ll be releasing a two-LP vinyl soundtrack for Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal from Adult Swim. Pre-orders begin Saturday, July 22, at 9 a.m. PDT (tomorrow) here on their website. The LP is expected to ship in Q4.
That’s all for this week. Have a great weekend and for all those of you down at San Diego Comic-Con, enjoy the rest of the Con!
