Meanwhile, Shout! Factory has announced that TV’s classic Carol Burnett Show will be available for streaming on a variety of digital platforms beginning on 6/1. And Shout! Factory TV will be streaming all 11 seasons of the show as a 48-hour marathon on 5/20 and 5/31. Many of these episodes haven’t been seen since their original broadcast airing 40 years ago. There’s no word yet of a physical media release, but one would think it’s possible in the months ahead.
Also today, RLJE Films is releasing Creepshow: Season One on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/19. Extras will include Cast and Crew Interviews, Behind the Scenes Footage, Creepshow Season 1 Easter Eggs Featurette, Audio Commentaries with Cast and Crew, Episode and Comic Art Photo Galleries, a Comic Art Booklet, and more.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has moved the street date for The Outsider: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray and DVD to 7/28. Adjust your plans accordingly.
Warner has also set Castle Rock: Season Two for Blu-ray and DVD release on 7/21.
PBS has just released Masterpiece: World on Fire (starring Sean Bean and Helen Hunt) on Blu-ray and DVD. It’s available now.
Fans of the original Cowboy Bebop anime series may be pleased to learn that FUNimation is going to be releasing a Steelbook Blu-ray of the show only at Best Buy. Street date is still TBA, but it’s coming.
And Mill Creek Entertainment is releasing 12 Monkeys: The Complete Series on Blu-ray and DVD on 7/14.
In other news, Disney+ has just revealed that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is officially coming to their streaming service on 5/4, so the entire Skywalker Saga will finally be available for streaming on the service on that day (the significance of which is no mystery to Star Wars fans).
Also, our old friend Robert Meyer Burnett is going to be hosting the 400th episode of his excellent ROBSERVATIONS pop culture web show tomorrow (Tuesday) at Noon Pacific time on his Burnettwork YouTube channel here.
