All right, we’ve got a couple of announcements today...

First up, Kino Lorber has added William Friedkin’s Good Times (1967) to its upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release slate. Look for the title to join their Studio Classics line on 9/25. They also have The Trip to Bountiful (1985) coming to Blu-ray and DVD the same day.

Shout! Factory has just revealed that Get Shorty (1995) is coming to Blu-ray as a Shout Select Collector’s Edition in October. Extras are TBA.

Retail sources are reporting that Universal’s The Big Lebowski 4K Ultra HD has shifted to October from July, with Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood now set for September. We’ll see. In any case, we’ve updated our 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly. [Read on here...]

Speaking of Universal, The First Purge is now set for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K on 10/2.

Meanwhile, retail sources are also now suggesting that Disney and Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story will arrive on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on 9/18 or 9/25.

While we’re talking Disney, Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp is shaping up to be an October release, per retail sources.

Any fans of NBC’s Friends? Amazon currently has Friends: The Complete Series on Blu-ray for just $96.51, or 50% off the SRP. Click here for that.

Lionsgate has set Affairs of State for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/14.

Back to Universal for a moment: Look for Zoot Suit on Blu-ray for the first time on 8/14, along with Pirates of Penzance.

And finally, it does now look like it’s actually happening: Fox will be releasing both the original Predator and a Predator: 3-Movie Collection on 4K Ultra HD on 8/7. We expect the official announcement very soon. In any case, here’s the official cover artwork for that and more (it’s now available for pre-order on Amazon for just $59.99 by clicking on the cover)...

Predator (4K Ultra HD) Predator Trilogy (4K Ultra HD) Dragnet: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray Disc)

Won't You Be My Neighbor? (Blu-ray) The Man in the Iron Mask (Blu-ray Disc) The House on Haunted Hill (Blu-ray Disc)

All right, everyone in the US try to stay cool through this heat wave. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you back here on Monday with new disc reviews and more.

Stay tuned...
