In release news today, Paramount has officially set Michael Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi for digital release on 5/24, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on 6/7. The Blu-ray will be a 3-disc set that includes the film itself on Disc One and a trio of documentary featurettes on Disc Two (including For the Record: Finding the Truth Amid the Noise, Uncovering Benghazi’s Secret Soldiers, and Preparing for Battle: Behind the Scenes of 13 Hours). We have a quick update on the BFI’s new restoration and Blu-ray of Napoleon (1927). It seems that Francis Ford Coppola and former Bits contributor and film preservationist Robert A. Harris own the worldwide theatrical rights to Napoleon outside the U.K. and France, and are working on their own restoration effort.
