Extras on the discs in this set will include the vintage audio commentary with Peterson, along with a new commentary by Paul M. Sammon, and 3 newly-produced featurettes (Finding Fantasia: Adapting The NeverEnding Story, No Boundaries: Imagineering The NeverEnding Story, and Flights of Fantasy: Inside the Scores of The NeverEnding Story). Also included will be a host of legacy extras, some produced for US releases and some for German releases. All of this comes in a limited edition “replica storybook” package “crafted with high-quality leatherette, adorned with the iconic Auryn emblem, die-cast metallic ornamentation, red and white ribbons, gold-foiled stamping and embossed detailing exactly as seen in the film. It is magnetically sealed to ensure it stays closed.” You’ll also get a reproduction of the original 1984 press kit, a 27” x 40” folded print of the original poster, reprints of original lobby cards, and a 3D lenticular hardcase that houses all the discs. Not done yet today: Our friends at Arrow Video have just announced their November Blu-ray and 4K UHD slate, which is officially set to include James Foley’s At Close Range (1986) on Blu-ray (UK only) on 11/4, Oliver Hirschbiegel and James McTeigue’s The Invasion (2007) on 4K & Blu-ray (US, UK, Canada) and James Signorelli’s Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) in 4K (US, UK, Canada) on 11/12, and Sam Raimi’s A Simple Plan (1998) 4K & Blu-ray (US and Canada only) and Ataru Oikawa’s Tomie (1998) on Blu-ray (US, UK, Canada) on 11/19. All of the 4K titles will include Dolby Vision HDR. All are now available for pre-order on Amazon by clicking on the covers…

Don’t forget... Arrow has also announced their new Shawscope: Volume Three Blu-ray box set (US, UK, Canada) for release on 11/26! This 10-disc set will include 14 films plus a bonus disc. And Kino Lorber Studio Classics has just revealed two more 4K catalog titles that are coming on 10/29, including Alain Robak’s Baby Blood (1990) for Kino Cult and Stanley Donen’s Arabesque (1966). The latter will be SDR only.
