And the big news is that Arrow Video has also announced its September slate, which is set to include Jacques Deray’s Borsalino (1970) on Blu-ray (US and Canada), Mario Bava’s Blood and Black Lace (1964) on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD (UK only), Hideo Nakata’s Ringu (1998) on 4K Ultra HD (US, UK, and Canada), Brian De Palma’s Carlito’s Way (1993) on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray Combo (US, UK, Canada), Sammo Hung’s The Prodigal Son (1991) on Blu-ray (US and Canada), and finally The Psycho Collection on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD (UK only), which includes Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960), Richard Franklin’s Psycho II (1983), Anthony Perkins’ Psycho III (1986), and Mick Garris’ Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990). Finally today, we need to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of the great actor Alan Arkin, who died yesterday at his home in Carlsbad, California at the age of 89. Arkin appeared in many great films, from The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1967) and Catch-22 (1970) to Little Miss Sunshine (2007) and Argo (2012), and many TV series as well, most recently The Kominsky Method (2018-19).
