Colossal, Lethal Weapon: S1, Longmire: S5, Duel in the Sun, Walking Dead: S7 & more

We’re kicking things off with a new review today, featuring Tim’s look at Walter Hill’s Rock & Roll 80s fable Streets of Fire, now available on Collector’s Edition Blu-ray from Shout! Factory’s via their Shout Select line. It’s a fun film and a very good disc – well worth your time.

In announcement news today, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has now officially set Hacho Vigalondo’s Colossal for Blu-ray and DVD release on 8/1. The film stars Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis. Universal also has The Ottoman Lieutenant due on Blu-ray and DVD that same day.

Cinedigm has set the western Hickok for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 8/15. The film stars Luke Hemsworth, Kris Kristofferson, Trace Atkins, and Bruce Dern. [Read on here…]

Warner Home Video has set Lethal Weapon: The Complete First Season for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 9/19. The studio has also set Unforgettable for release on Blu-ray on 7/25. And Warner will release Netflix's Longmire: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD on 9/26. The Warner Archive will also have Longmire: The Complete Fifth Season available on Blu-ray that day. The sixth and final season of the series will air on Netflix probably in early October.

Also on the TV front, Ripper Street: Season Five is due on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/29 from BBC Home Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Arrow Academy has set Robert Aldrich's The Big Knife (1955) for release on Blu-ray on 8/29. The film stars Jack Palance, Ida Lupino, Wendell Corey, Shelley Winters, and Rod Steiger. The company also has Jean Gremillon's The Love of a Woman (1953) coming on Blu-ray on 8/22.

Kino Lorber will release The Legend of Hillbilly John on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/29. The company has set Sean Penn's The Indian Runner for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/22. And Kino will release King Vidor's Duel in the Sun: Roadshow Edition on Blu-ray and DVD on 8/15, along with Clambake on both formats on 8/8, and One Dark Night on both formats on 8/1.

Starz and Lionsgate have now officially set The Walking Dead: The Complete Seventh Season for Blu-ray and DVD release on 8/22.

For U.K. readers, Eureka has set Kôji Fukada’s Harmonium for release on Blu-ray/DVD Combo on 6/19.

And in terms of new theatrical titles that are now available for pre-order on Amazon (but haven't been announced officially yet), look for Universal's The Mummy (BD, DVD, 4K), Warner's Wonder Woman (BD, DVD, 3D, 4K) and Going in Style (BD, DVD), Fox's Alien: Covenant (BD, DVD, 4K) and Snatched (BD, DVD, 4K), and Paramount's Baywatch (BD, DVD, 4K).
