We’ve got more release news for you today...

First, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release Mike Newell’s Great Expectations on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/15. Extras will include a piece on the premiere and the film’s trailer.

Speaking of Fox, we’ve officially confirmed that TCFHE is working on a Blu-ray and DVD release of the new Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey science TV series, hosted by our favorite astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson. Inspired by Carl Sagan’s original Cosmos: A Personal Voyage from the 1980s (see our DVD review here), the new 13-episode sequel premieres this coming Sunday on Fox, NatGeo and a whole host of related cable channels. You can find all the details here. From the visuals I’ve seen so far, this show should blow the doors off Blu-ray. There’s no street date yet, but we would imagine Fox will announce the title in the next month or two, timed for release shortly after the series wraps up its broadcast run. [Read on here...]

Fox has also finally officially confirmed the remastered in 4K reissue of the Coen Brothers’ Fargo on Blu-ray on 4/1, no doubt timed to take advantage of the debut of the new Fargo TV series on FX (it starts airing on 4/15, starring Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton and Bob Odenkirk). Extras will include audio commentary with director of photography Roger A. Deakins, the Minnesota Nice featurette, a trivia track, an American Cinematographer article, a photo gallery, the film’s theatrical trailer and a TV spot.

Meanwhile, Scream Factory has announced final details on their forthcoming Blu-rays of Evilspeak and Final Exam, both due on 5/13. Both feature new transfers. Evilspeak will have audio commentary with producer/director Eric Weston, interviews with cast members Joseph Cortese, Clint Howard, and Don Stark, new interviews with Richard Moll, Claude Earl Jones, Haywood Nelson, Loren Lester, and Lynn Hancock, and the film’s trailer. Final Exam will include audio commentary and interviews with Cast Members Joel Rice, Cecile Bagdadi, and Sherry Willis-Burch, and the trailer.

Scream’s parent company, Shout! Factory, has also announced that they’ve acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the indie film Brazilian Western (Faroeste Caboclo) and will release it in theaters and on disc later this year.

RAM Releasing has set the psychological thriller Forgetting the Girl for Blu-ray and DVD release on 4/1.

Kino Classics is releasing the Bela Lugosi classic The Death Kiss on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/13.

Universal has set Warehouse 13: Season Five and Warehouse 13: The Complete Series for DVD only release on 5/20.

And Anchor Bay Films has set the found-footage horror film Mr. Jones for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/6.

Here’s a look at the cover artwork for Fox’s Great Expectations and Fargo, as well as final art for Paramount’s The Wolf of Wall Street (due 3/25)...
