Dolittle official for 4/7, plus Just Mercy, Last Full Measure, Underwater, KL Studio Classics’ April slate & more

The big release news today is that Universal has officially set Dolittle for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 4/7, with the Digital release expected on 3/24. It appears that the 4K will include both HDR10 and HDR10+, plus Dolby Atmos audio. Extras on all versions will include 6 behind-the-scenes featurettes (Talk to the Animals, Robert Downey Jr. & Harry: Mentor and Mentee, Becoming the Good Doctor, Antionio Banderas: Pirate King, The Wicked Dr. Mudfly, and A Most Unusual House.

Universal has also set Francis Annan’s Escape from Pretoria for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/7.

Meanwhile, Lionsgate has set The Last Full Measure for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/21, with the Digital release due on 4/7. [Read on here...]

Extras will include 5 featurettes (The Women of The Last Full Measure, Medal of Honor Ceremony Shoot, The Others May Live: Remembering Operation Abilene, USAF Museum Screening with Veterans & Pitsenbarger Family, and The Music of The Last Full Measure) and a photo gallery.

20th Century Fox has also just announced Underwater, staring Kristen Stewart and Vincent Cassel, for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 4/14. Extras will include audio commentary by William Eubank, Jared Purrington, and Phil Gawthorne, the Real Bunny Montage featurette, the 3-part Making Underwater documentary, an alternate ending, a deleted scene, and 6 alternate scenes (all with optional commentary).

Warner Bros. will release Destin Daniel Cretton’s Just Mercy, starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx, on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/14.

Image Entertainment, Shudder, and AMC will be releasing Creepshow: Season One on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/19.

The Film Detective is releasing the Bruce Lee film Fist of Fear Touch of Death on Blu-ray on 3/31. We’ve learned that our friend Daniel Griffith (of Ballyhoo Motion Pictures) did a great new documentary for the release called That Bruceploitation that should be well worth checking out.

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has just announced its April Blu-ray and DVD release slate, which is set to include Ernst Lubitsch’s Angel (1937), George Marshall’s Murder, He Says (1945), Henry Hathaway’s The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935), Lewis Milestone’s The General Died at Dawn (1936), William Wellman’s Beau Geste (1939), and Victor Halperin’s Supernatural (1933) on Blu-ray on 4/7, followed by Karl Malden’s Time Limit (1957), Lamont Johnson’s Cattle Annie and Little Britches (1981), George Bloomfield’s Jenny (1970), and Andrew L. Stone’s Song of Norway (1970) on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/14, Joseph Losey’s Secret Ceremony (1968), Vittorio De Sica’s Woman Times Seven (1967), Franklin Gollings’ Connecting Rooms (1971), and George Cukor’s Love Among the Ruins (1975) on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/21, and Carol Reed’s Outcast of the Island (1952), David Lean’s The Sound Barrier (1952), John Schlesinger’s Billy Liar (1963), Russell Rouse’s The Caper of the Golden Bulls (1967), and Howard Morris’ Don’t Drink the Water (1969) on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/28.

Shout! Factory will release Camp Cold Brook on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/7.

Vinegar Syndrome has set Angel III: The Final Chapter for release on Blu-ray on 3/31.

Gravitas Ventures will release Coda, staring Patrick Stewart and Katie Holmes, on Blu-ray on 3/31 as well.

And for you animation fans, Well Go USA will release Oh Sung-yoon’s A Dog’s Courage on Blu-ray and DVD on 4/14 as well.
