Welcome back, everyone! We certainly hope you all had a great holiday weekend (here in the States at least), ate lots of food, and got plenty of great Black Friday shopping deals.

Speaking of which, Amazon is having a Cyber Monday sale today featuring 4 different Blu-ray collections from Universal (Back to the Future, Riddick, Bourne Trilogy and Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy) for just $14.99 each. As always, doing so supports The Bits and we thank you for it!  [Read on here…]

All right, first up today… lots of you have asked over the holiday what the status is of a couple outstanding Blu-ray issues. The first is the possibility of Warner fixing the missing scene from the Marsha, Queen of Diamonds episode in the Batman Blu-ray set. The second is the incorrect English subtitle track on the Disney’s Princess Mononoke Blu-ray. And the third is word of a possible release – by Lionsgate and A&E – of Space: 1999 – Season Two next year. Rest assured we’ve made inquiries on each and will update you as soon as we have any official word.

In announcement news, FUNimation has officially set the anime Space Dandy: Season One for Blu-ray and DVD release on 2/17. There will be a regular Blu-ray edition ($48.99) and an Amazon exclusive Deluxe BD/DVD Combo with swag ($116.98). Space Dandy is produced by much of the same team that worked on the Cowboy Bebop film. You can see the cover artwork and pre-order links below.

Grindhouse Releasing has set Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond:  3-Disc Collector’s Edition for Blu-ray release on 2/10 ($35.99).

Warner Home Video has set Dallas: The Complete Third and Final Season for DVD release on 1/13. Extras will include deleted scenes.
