Good morning, dear readers! I trust this post finds you all in a better mood than the one I’m currently experiencing. I’m stuck at a car dealership getting a recalled part replaced and drinking really lousy coffee out of a styrofoam cup. (Which is why I posted the picture of Terry Gilliam today - he looks the way I feel right now in that picture.) But... at least there’s wifi. To quote Russell Crowe from a favorite film of mine, “What a fascinating modern age we live in.” Points if you can guess which film on our Facebook page.

Anyway, there may or may not be more news today than what I’ve got for you here, but this is what I have access too from the service center waiting room. I’ll update you on anything else tomorrow. Meanwhile, here’s what’s what for now… [Read on here…]

Universal has set Tate Taylor’s Get On Up for release on Blu-ray Combo and DVD on 1/6. This is the recent James Brown biopic.

Sony will release No Good Deed on 1/6 as well, staring Idris Elba.

Acorn Media will release Midsomer Murders: Set 25 on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/24/15.

Raro Video has set Antonio Pietrangeli’s 1960 Adua and Her Friends for Blu-ray release on 1/20/15.

Viz Media will release the anime title Coppelion: The Complete Series on 2/3/15.

Speaking of anime, FUNimation will release Certain Scientific Railgun: Season One on Blu-ray on 1/20.

Well Go USA has the Korean film The Pirates due on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/20/15.

Kino Lorber will release Memphis on Blu-ray on 1/13.

For Twilight fans, Lionsgate is releasing a triple feature of the extended editions of Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/13 (SRP $24.99 and $19.98). We would imagine extras are limited at that price.

For you San Francisco Giants fans, the official 2014 World Series Blu-ray set is due to be released on 12/2 (SRP $69.99 - a DVD version is also available for $10 less).

And finally, it looks like a batch of Fox titles are planned for Blu-ray re-release on 1/6, including Just Wright, Man on Fire, One Family Wedding, Men of Honor, and Unstoppable. Looks like they’re just being reissued at a much lower price - between $14.99 and $11.99.

That’s all for now. Time to go look at the new Ford models out of sheer boredom (which I suspect is the real reason they make you wait so long at places like this anyway).

Back tomorrow. Stay tuned…
