All right, today’s Halloween Hangover review from Tim is a look at the Region B release of Killer Klowns from Outer Space on Blu-ray from Arrow Video in the UK. That’s an old favorite of ours here at The Bits and it sounds like the disc improves on MGM’s US Blu- ray release a good deal. Do check it out.

Also today, we’re highlighting Michael Coate’s look back at Back to the Future on this the semi-official “Back to the Future Day” on the Internet (a.k.a., the day in the future Marty visits in the film). Everybody start hydrating your pizzas and drinking Pepsi Free. [Read on here…]

We’ve also posted the weekly update of the Release Dates & Artwork section with all the latest Blu-ray and DVD cover artwork, with Amazon.com pre-order links. Just a quick reminder for you all to please use our Amazon links when pre-ordering anything from the retailer – it’s easy as can be and that simple act goes a LONG way to helping support our work here at The Bits. We greatly appreciate it!

Speaking of Amazon, there’s one DVD Deal of the Day we thought worth mentioning here today: Amazon is selling MPI’s Dark Shadows: The Complete Series box set – all 1,225 episodes on 131 DVDs in slick coffin packaging for just $224.99! Now, if that seems like a lot, know that it’s 63% off the set’s regular price of a whopping $599.98. That’s 51 days of straight viewing. Whew!

Announcement news is a little slow today, but PBS Distribution has set Masterpiece: Warricker – The Complete Series for Blu-ray and DVD release on 11/3.

Lionsgate will release the holiday film Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow on DVD only on 11/24.

Lionsgate has also set She’s Funny that Way for Blu-ray, DVD, and digital release on 11/3.

Eagle Rock Entertainment is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” with the SD Blu-ray and DVD release of Queen: A Night at The Odeon – Live at Hammersmith ’75 on 11/20.

IFC Films has set The Stanford Prison Experiment for DVD only release on 11/17.

And Anchor Bay has set Momentum for Blu-ray and DVD release on 12/1.

Finally, here’s the BIG news: The individual seasons of Fox’s The X-Files: The Complete Series on Blu-ray are finally starting to become available for pre-order on Amazon... click here for Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, Season 5, Season 6, Season 7, Season 8, and Season 9 (for $29.99 each). We expect the Complete Series box to appear shortly as well, so we’ll add the link when it does.
