By the way, Warner has also set the animated Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind for Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release on 10/11. Extras on each will include audio commentary with director Rich Morales and screenwriter Jeremy Adams, 2 featurettes (Kenshi: From the Video Game to Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind and Adapting Evil: Building the Black Dragon Clan), and deleted animatics.

It appears that Warner and DC are releasing their animated DC League of Super-Pets on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 10/4 as well.

And you may recall that we mentioned the other day that Paramount had just made Walter Hill’s 48 Hours (1982) and Another 48 Hours (1990) available in 4K Digital on various streaming services. Well, now we have word from multiple retail sources that the first film is likely coming to physical 4K Ultra HD in December (tentatively on 12/6).

In news around the industry this afternoon, Kino Lorber is celebrating the birthday of filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock (tomorrow) by streaming eleven of his classic films on their Kino Now service. These include “restored versions of Blackmail (1929), Hitchcock’s first sound film; the courtroom mystery Murder! (1930); the silent comedies Champagne and The Farmer’s Wife (1928); the romantic melodramas The Ring (1927) and The Manxman (1929); a stirring drama about the class conflict between two British families, The Skin Game (1931); the mystery thriller Number Seventeen (1932); the madcap romantic adventure Rich and Strange (1931); and two rare short films made by Hitchcock during World War II: Bon Voyage and Aventure Malgache (1944).”
