Our own Tim Salmons has turned in his thoughts on David Hess’s To All a Goodnight (1980) from Kino Lorber and also Bill Condon’s Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1992) from Scream Factory, both now availabe on Blu-ray. We’re working on a few more reviews for the next week or so as well, including a couple of more mainstream releases. [Read on here…]

So… have any of you guys seen Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy yet? I can’t say that I have, but Dr. Jahnke, Tim Salmons and a number of other Bits staffers took the ride this past weekend and say the film is pretty darned terrific. We’re getting that report from lots of Bits readers too. So if you want a great and fun summer blockbuster that’s good for adults, but that you can take the kids to as well, it sounds like this is the one. I’ll be going in the next couple days.

Here at The Bits today, our very own Dr. Adam Jahnke is holding court at some length on the subject of CBS’ new Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery Blu-ray release. You will be quite pleased to hear that it’s a darn fine cup of coffee, with a pretty good slice of cherry pie on the side.
