We’re back… rested, recouped, and ready to get back to business! For the record, my wife and I had a great time celebrating our anniversary early. So thanks for your patience.

It’s going to take a few days to get caught up on all the release news and whatnot, so I’ll get started with that in a moment.

First though, Tim Salmons has checked in with his thoughts on Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) on Blu-ray. As you know, the film won the Academy Award for Best Picture while we were away. We’re kicking things off today with a new Blu-ray review, featuring yours truly with some thoughts on David Fincher’s Gone Girl, now available on Blu-ray from 20th Century Fox. It’s an interesting film, a bit of an odd duck for the director but still worth your time.
