Okay, we’ve got a couple things for you today, but the overall update is going to a quick one today. My wife was in a car accident yesterday – she’s okay, but our car was rear-ended and sustained some pretty good damage, so real life calls today with significant demands on my time.

First up, Lionsgate has set Joe, staring Nicholas Cage, for Blu-ray and DVD release on 6/17 (SRP $24.99 and $19.98). Extras will include 2 featurettes (The Making of Joe and The Long Gravel Drive: The Origins of Joe), deleted scenes, and audio commentary with director David Gordon Green, composer David Wingo and actor Brian D. If you’ve been following my Queues this month, you know I’m not a big fan of how light this month’s been in terms of awesome titles. A few big’uns snuck through, but not enough. Slow news day today, but we do have a couple of things for you...

First, Universal has revealed a few more catalog titles coming to Blu-ray on 7/1, including Bring It On, Cry Baby, Kindergarten Cop and The Little Rascals.

Universal has also set Non-Stop, starring Liam Neeson, for Blu-ray Combo and DVD release on 6/10. Does anyone else keep mixing this film up with 3 Days to Kill, or is it just me? “Old Guys Kicking Ass” seems to be a real growth genre these days. [Read on here…]

Also today, Warner Home Video has announced another Blu-ray version of Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace and Music, specifically a new 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Revisited box set on 7/29 (SRP $39.96) that includes everything from the previous (but apparently not truly) Ultimate Collector’s Edition and adds new and unseen concert footage from Jefferson Airplane, Joan Baez, Santana, The Who, and more, as well as new swag (including a reproduction of the original Woodstock Festival tickets and vintage articles from Life Magazine and The New York Times). I’m not kidding kids, this month is really coming down as one of the more disappointing months for releases in a while. It was bound to happen – April tends to be a stinker.
